I’m loving my book on famous Iconic stripteaser Marinka “the Queen of Amazons”. This story is of her finally “crying out” her story of being born different. She was a superstar of burlesque and left the world a better, more colorful place. As I’m unpacking her red gown for my museum, I decided to give her book another read. A brief moment of rest before the day begins.

Yesterday was a whirlwind, which is normal on my first day home. I’ve been away for two weeks and the family, children, pets, friends all needed TLC. It was a day full of hugs, tears, cleaning, realignments and unplanned adventures. In the end, all things were accomplished and everyone got love and time together. Yesterday was a day of big change, new starts, teary goodbyes and realignment again.

My last stage performance was in October. This photo was one of the last photos of the night. I brought my friend Tonio on stage for a group lap dance at the end of the night and it was magical chaos, ha!

PR photo dump

Making memories in PR with Jeremy since the 13tj. We only have a few more days here as we leave for Iowa Tuesday. Today we are headed to La Playa Jobos to work for a bit then return to our house here to take fire breathing lessons with my girl Miss Amanda. Tomorrow we pack up the house, shut it down and Monday we take about 10 big boxes to mail off for the museum. Then…. Originally the gown was white, and I dyed it to a lilac color to match the fans and boa. I’m really loving this color! It takes quite a while for costumes to fully come together. I think I keep working on my costumes all the time so they’re constantly changing a as time goes on.

My Home Was A House

While smoking my midnight joint, I was watching the Columbo episode “Publish or Perish”. In this episode Columbo is investigating a book publisher played my one of my favorite TV villains, Jack Cassidy. Aaaanyhow, Columbo is in the publishing office and on the wall was a poster that says “My Home Was a House”, with a sexy female silhouette on the cover. I was immediately like, Nooooo Wayyyy! It was a nod to the book “A House Is Not A Home”. A best-selling 1953 autobiography.

Marinka

As I’m putting together my museum behind the scenes, I’m archiving a gown and necklace from the Iconic legend Marinka. I purchased this set from a dear friend of hers who was very specific about their wishes to display it honorably.
