Total Eclipse...

Who saw the Eclipse yesterday?! Where did you see it?
My sisters and some friends and I gathered to view the partial eclipse in the Quad Cities, it was a stunner of a day and we were equipped with our glasses. We weren't able to view it in full totality but got to experience it at 99% - still amazing!
The weather changed, the animals went silent, and, for a moment - it felt other worldly. Like a vail or screen was briefly placed over the landscape. I have never seen a solar eclipse in full totality, consider it on my bucket list...
I would love to hear about all of your eclipse experiences - fill me in below :)
XOXO
I was at the airport, perfect view

I watched it from Southeast Missouri. It was the second time we’ve watched one in the last seven years. It’s an amazing show. Too bad it only lasts for a few minutes. There are so many people who will never see one and I’ve seen two without having to leave my house.🌔🌗🌑🌗

I didn’t have any glasses, so I tried the pinhole method and failed miserably. But, as I sit on my stoop, I got a few photos of the crescent shadows being cast through the evergreen bush in front of the house. I think we only got somewhere around 87% or so. Didn’t realize someone in the neighborhood had chickens until I started hearing a rooster crow.

Oh for sure it was a quick but totally worth it experience. We weren’t too far from you in Indianapolis. 100% there.

We were in Indy too. Totally worth the trip to stay with family and hang out for the full eclipse. Downtown Greenwood, streetlights, temperature drop, etc. Loved it!

About 90% or more up in Rhode Island. We walked to a little park down my street with benches and picnic tables.
Probably 100 people. It was nice to see so many people just chatting and enjoying the rare event. 🌒🌚🌞🙂

Arlington Texas in my front yard. It was amazing i was totally geeking out when it went in totality. Street lights came on and Six Flags over Texas , about a mile away had a fireworks display. There is a middle school behind out house and the kids were going nuts with excitement. We could see planets and even tiny red dots around the moon that were solar flares that were from the sun. When the sun started coming back there was the most eerie lighting I have ever seen. It's something I will never forget and I can't think of anything that will top it. It was so nice to check a box off my bucket list and didn't have to leave my yard.
