Throwback Thursday : Bali
Added 2023-06-22 17:23:12 +0000 UTCIn August 2017, I had the opportunity to go to HistoryCon in Manila for History channel. I asked Haley if she would assist me for the event, but as we were talking more, we thought, if we’re going to be traveling across the world, let’s add in a bucket list destination on our way! We agreed that Bali was the perfect spot 🌴🌊💖 So off we went and adventured from Chicago, with a brief stop in Taipei and onto Bali.
We were amazed by the black sand beaches, our lovely stay at Hotel Kommune, where they grow their own food and offer yoga classes and beautiful facilities. This was the perfect time to beat the jet lag and relax, tour some beautiful Temples with our wonderful guide, Maddey. These are the moments I reflect back on, and feel incredibly thankful for the opportunities my job has created and being able to share them with good friends and family. Bali is magic, I hope to return someday in the future. 🏖️☀️

2023-09-29 16:59:57 +0000 UTCTahiti and the surrounding islands. Had a gig working for Windstar Sail Cruises in 1987. Sailed to Tahiti from San Francisco on a 440’ four masted ship. She’s been decommissioned (The Windsong), but they still have other ships in the Caribbean and Mediterranean areas. The job I had was to assist in logging tapes and help the director/photographer with gear for shooting corporate films and videos for the company. 🌴🎥🌊🏄🏼♂️⚓️🛳️

2023-06-22 20:46:04 +0000 UTCThat’s a difficult question to answer. I suppose it would be a toss up between Prague, Bucharest, Warsaw, and Bratislava. Though… Kyiv, Vienna, London, Edinburgh, any number of small German villages… would also be contenders. Believe it or not, Baghdad and Kabul both had their charms and Taejon was home for a semester. And, can’t forget Rincon. Like I said… Difficult question to answer.

We are definitely thankful and blessed to be able to do these things. I have also never been to Hawaii, I need to change that soon. I would love to visit when the island feels stable and welcoming to do so.💗
