It is that time again folks! Time for a dog diaries, where I Chronicle the details of my journey. I had a great day this morning with my hunky fiancé, Jeremy at the tiny beach. We found lots of great Seaglass and I got to drink my delicious coffee from Simply Greens. They have this coffee called Wepa! And it’s out of this world. No acidity to it, it’s just smooth and creamy even without sugar and cream. I’ve never had coffee like this before and I’m really enjoying it! They also have a phenomenal selection of herbs most of the time. They’re all grown in Puerto Rico with hydroponics, and they look beautiful and taste amazing. So that’s what I will be having this afternoon for lunch. I’m using their rosemary to put in my everything stew. I’m still going back-and-forth between a liquid diet and solid food. So I get to enjoy the broth, and Jeremy gets to enjoy the hearty pieces of the soup, which are usually chicken noodles and veggies. Keeping with a liquid diet today because it’s easier on my stomach before I fly or while I am traveling. There are these great little travel packs of iron rich chicken bone broth that have been Lifesavers during my travels. I can still eat solid food, but in very small amounts With about 75 to 80% raw fruits and vegetables and the rest, whatever I want. I’m getting used to it. I struggle sometimes and kind of waffle back-and-forth. I remember those days where I could eat three pieces of pizza was no problem at all. Now I have to drink liquids, eat a bunch of vegetables, and then eat one piece of pizza if that. I’m working it out with my doctors and we are making progress. I feel really excited about my ability to move my body, better, faster, with more strength and ease. My friend Vivian from Centro La Paz in PR has been helping me out with Pilates. It’s really interesting how my body and mind respond to the Pilates sessions. I find myself crying on a regular basis when I’m doing it. Part of it is fear that I’m going to hurt myself or push too far and the other part is pride and excitement that I haven’t pushed myself too far, and my body is capable of these things that I’ve not been able to do for the last Nine months.
I’m headed back to Illinois tonight on a redeye out of Aguadilla landing in Moline Illinois with two layovers . As we all know, I hate layovers but, I’m confident it will be a smooth trip. When I land on the 27th my Dad is gonna pick us up from the airport. When we land at our house in Illinois, we will take stock of what we have in the refrigerator and freezer and cupboards see what toiletries and necessities we should purchase and then we will run to target and grab the basics from there then on to the Jewel-Osco, or Hy-Vee, depends on the mood, to grab fresh herbs and real groceries. Quick stop at the local dispensary, from there, we will drive back home, make a family dinner, hang out with my kids and my niece and nephews, and probably have entirely too many cocktails and smoke ourselves to comfortable sleep eventually after lots of laughs, movies, video, games, music, conversation. Fortunately, we get to sleep in the next day on the 28th because my nephews, Liam and Eamon’s graduation is not until 2 PM. I’m sure will probably wake up and have a nice breakfast somewhere in town probably at one of the local pancake houses. 28th is all about my nephews and their incredible accomplishments and then the 29th my in-laws come into town and we will get to spend some quality time together. In fact, it will be the first time of them meeting my parents. Which is really interesting because Jeremy and I have dated for almost 9 years now. I guess you could say I’m a bit of a slow mover these days, lol! I’m excited for them all to meet. They’re all wonderful human beings and I know they’re gonna love each other. So the 29th and 30th will be spent enjoying time with the family. On the first I hope to get some beautiful content in my Illinois home for all of you lovely folks and I plan to work with some of the rare vintage I have there. I’m going through every piece of rear vintage I own, and breathing new life into them. It’s amazing what a little stitch here and a little love there will do for antique and vintage items. On the second my family will get together to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary at my parents house out in the country on 4 acres of woods. I’m excited because it will just be my sisters and all of our children, grandchildren, and their partners and my parents. So it will be nice to have alone time with my parents on this special day. On the third we get to celebrate with our entire family and group of friends! I’m so happy that everybody will be able to make it out to celebrate with my folks. I appreciate how hard it is to travel and make time for special events. My parents are very loved because everybody is making sure to be there. After that, I do nothing but film for a week and then hopefully return back to Puerto Rico to work with my Burlesque students and produce a couple of shows out here. We have one on June 24 at the English Rose and another on July 14 at Café 413. I can’t wait to get back on stage with my students and fully indulge in some creativity. Until then I’m lucky to be able to spend time with my friends and family back in Illinois. I’m hoping I get a chance to see my Chicago burly family as well. So that’s my basic itinerary. I will keep you updated on a day by day basis. I know I’ve been rather aloof lately, but I’ve really been working on my self physically and mentally, emotionally. I’m really happy that I’m finally starting to feel that I’m in a place in life where I can achieve peace and calm, and feel the euphoria of pure joy. I definitely believe the hysterectomy helped, immensely improve my quality of life even though my body is still struggling to heal at times. I’m so thankful that I have this opportunity to restart my life and re-learn how to live with intention. I forgot to tell you one really fun detail. My daughter, memphis and I have been working on some fan dancing routines together and finally have our costuming almost finished. I love working with her, she’s so fluid with her fans, it’s like she’s watched it, her entire life, or some thing, lol! fan dancing comes so naturally to her and I can’t wait to be able to show you all what we have worked on together over the last year. So I will be bringing one of my ombre pink art deco fans to memphis so that she can practice with that one, while I practice with the other one. our movements together are absolutely breathtaking. It’s so incredible to be able to share this art form on stage with my daughter. I’ll be excited to show you clips as we release them to only fans. I will make sure that you get to see at least a couple short little clips on here as well but the completed Content will be sold on only fans.
