Trouble and Turnaround In Dreamland

The up side of this surgery is that I have some down time. I’ve been spending a lot of this downtime with my kids and their puppers. These puppers are Memphis’.

In the process of processing my down time I’ve had restful moments but a terrible time sleeping peacefully. Night terrors are hitting me hard. Since I’m off all my meds I’ve been wondering why this is still happening. As I’ve researched post op night terrors I’m realizing that it most likely a side effect of the anesthesia from the surgery. There are many cases just like mine. Since Ive chosen to stop my pain meds after my 1 week visit in lieu of Tylenol, advil or Motrin, I’m trying to medicate holistically. My friend Shelby suggested many herbs.

Shatavari is a great calming aid and lavender, chamomile, Kava, poppy are great sleep aids. Here are a couple of photos of the herbs I selected that have been helping greatly. In addition to these I’m taking cramp bark for my post op cramping. I’m not a doctor obviously so check with a medical professional before taking any of these as drug interactions can happen depending on which meds are are currently taking.

I’m still taking probiotics and iron supplements daily as well.

I took a photo of my healing belly incisions as well. If you look closely you can see the 4 incisions with the purple glue over them. The surgeon did a great job hiding the scars into my tattoos and I got to keep my uterus tattoo!

My healing has definitely not been linear but I am getting stronger day by day with occasional setbacks. I’m finding that the better I sleep the better I feel from day to day. Last night was my first night of restful, mostly pain free sleep. I was able to finally sleep laying down the entire night.

My baby Memphis and I have been talking about our health journey going forward. We have decided to open up an Only Fans to document that and our adventures in burlesque, fan dancing, health and wellness and general life stuff. I will be sharing bits of this journey with all of you.

Great work by the surgeon!!!

Glad to see your tattoos remain intact. I sleep like shit and melatonin and Unisom don’t seem to work quite so well anymore. I may have to give that herbal a try.

I hope you feel better soon!

Glad to hear the natural herbs and things are helping and that you have great friends to help lead you to the correct ones. While pain killers and the likes are essential at times, I totally understand and agree that less is better. I had my femur broken at 52. Titanium rod and plates to fix...mnths of physical therapy, a trip back to the hospital for blood clots that went to my lungs, and so on, but less than a week out of hospital from surgery, I was off the pain pills. Just did not like the way they made me feel. You will be back out on stage before you know it! Better and bolder than ever! Lets not forget BEAUTIFUL! Hope you rest tonight! 🙂

Yes, post op from major surgery take so much longer than you realize. Take the needed time to heal and rejuvenate yourself. So glad you were able to sleep laying down the whole time. Thanks for sharing your journey. Much love and healing vibes for you Danni. Matt in California

Matt Forrest

So glad you are healing right along.

Ur belly will get better with time as the soft tissue injury heals more and more. I dabble alot with my essential oils for my friends. They can/are so useful for a full sceptrum of conditions. Good luck on your recovery.
