Filming for the LGS podcast

Here’s a little sneak peek into my week.

We spent the last couple of days filming for the Lorraine Gail Smith project. We’re trying to put together the first episode of the podcast so that we can make sure that we accurately tell the story before it takes on a life of its own, as the stories often do.

We are blessed that my friend Yuli Padilla lives here on the island. All of Lorraine‘s costumes fit her perfectly and she embodies Lorraine so well.

As I’m putting the podcast together I will pop up photos and little videos every now and again.

I have realized through the process of this that I may need more help than I thought. While I have been able to work with my team and research her life in depth, we are still missing pieces. I would love to contact her family, friends from the combat zone she may have worked with, old bosses, neighbors, high school friends etc. I’m realizing that it may be impossible for me to do this without help so, I’m reaching out to ask if any of you would be interested in sleuthing with me?

I would love to find Lorraine Gail Smith ‘s sister, Roxanne Dee. She was from framingham also. Roxanne Dee was very supportive of her sister and her career. Roxanne Dee and their mother would occasionally frequent the clubs to watch Lorraine dance.

I don’t have any photographs of Roxanne Dee, nor do I have any information about her life or if she is still alive, I sure hope so! If any of you can come up with leads or information on how I can contact Roxanne D or any of Loraines‘s friends or family members from Framingham Massachusetts, Boston, the Combat Zone, high school etc. please private message me. If your lead works out and brings us information, you will be credited in this project as well.💗
