We went out this morning for about an hour. Visibility was still low from the hurricanes turning up the water and the tropical storms we’ve had. I have had New Orleans on my mind so heavy this week. I have so many beloved friends there and am hoping beyond hope for their safety. We decided to go ahead and shoot anyway even with low visibility and we still got some beautiful photos. The sargassum always looks so unappealing from the shore, but from this view it's breathtaking. It's funny how the beauty of a thing may not ever be discovered until you see what's beneath the surface. I love these photographs of the blue tang as they swam in massive groups this morning. You can only see kind of a shadowy outline of them because of the low visibility, but they're still so beautiful. I met with my underwater costumes designer Annalysa Gil yesterday and finally brought home my finished goldfish costume. It’s taken me three years to commit to this costume and find the right costumer that could provide the best quality. Now it won’t get destroyed underwater. As we finish up the goldfish costume, we start the blue tang costume! I will be posting photos of the goldfish costume soon and highlights and updates on the blue tang costume
