Stripping History; Lorraine Gail Smith

I’m thrilled that my daughter @lolahbearxo has decided to join my crew of stripping history models. Memphis was born with an old soul. People say that, but I mean it. Both of my children, they are both old souls. Memphis never tolerated any bullshit. She did not ever tolerate people being picked on in her presence, and she absolutely would not tolerate people making fun of her without standing tall. The boys at school and in the neighborhood were not shy about physically assaulting Memphis because of her weight. The school did nothing. They never cared about her safety. They made excuses for the boys. As did the parents. Memphis learned to fiercely protect herself at a young age. Though I hate the bullying she would endure, I love this vocal quality about Memphis. She protects her space, her friends, her family and she shares what she has without a second thought. She is a warrior.

The fact that she is wearing Lorraine Gail Smith’s bra handmade stage worn bra and G string set gives me chills. Loraine‘s last days in 1975 were heavy. She knew she was being followed. She felt unsafe. She had moved in with her parents because she was knew that something bad was going to happen to her. She fell into depression, went places alone less, surrounded herself with people more… Sadly, even that could not save her. When her ex lover found her with a friend at Kincaid Park it didn’t matter if people were around or not. Nobody could save her even though a priest ran over and stopped the attack, even he could not save her. Lorraine spent the next two weeks in the hospital on life-support in critical condition until she died, in her hospital bed, surrounded by her mother, father and sister as well as her Combat Zone family. I think that Loraine would love to see my daughter Memphis wearing her costume. I think that she would appreciate her strength. The sad reality is Loraine never saw it coming, she was attacked from behind, brutally beaten with a metal table leg until and later died. Her ex lover... Also, her murderer Spent only 40 days in psych evaluation and was set free on an insanity plea. Let that sink in... What was Loraine‘s life worth to the state of Boston?
