Stripping History : Update
Added 2021-05-18 21:28:49 +0000 UTCI’m thrilled to know that I can finally move forward with my project featuring Jean Idelle and Sally Rand. My studio space in Rincon Puerto Rico is undergoing some changes. We’re in the process of renovating the space to be a long term home for the stripping history Museum until we can find a permanent spot here on the island.
We have chosen our first exhibition at the stripping history Museum to include fan dancing. Famous fan dancers Jean Idelle and Sally rand have two very different histories yet remarkably similar techniques and performance styles because they both come from fan dancing. If you would like to learn more about the history of Sally Rand and Jean Idelle, stick with me throughout the next month as we put together the museum.
Myself, my troop and some brilliant Burlesque historians from back home in the United States will be helping me with this project.
