Well we have been working for some time with Jan from Jan's Restoration and Dry Cleaning in Clio, MI to clean and repair this cape.
The process has been meticulous and amazing! Here are some progress photos along with their technique to age the sequins to match the original.
The cape has been cleaned and restored. I am so in love with this cape that I have asked Jan to make a replica.
She has picked out color swatches, fabric and making a mini mock up - I will keep you posted..
