Just cleaned my trash can

It feels good! It’s such a weird thing but I hate it when the trashcan gets messy. It’s so gross to touch. The orchids behind me I have been nursing for about a month now and they’re so healthy! They have their perfect little place in the shade with just enough light and moisture. The big jungle fern behind me is not doing so hot. It used to be huge! It was so big and beautiful and I loved the way the leaves just swept over the sides of the pot but it got those white fuzzy mealybugs on it, they infested it, they were killing it so I had to cut it back and do a chemical treatment. It’s the first time I’ve ever done a chemical treatment, my friend Joyce came over and did it for me and showed me how. So the mealybugs infected two of my palm trees, a couple of my other ferns, but I think we got them before it got out of control. They keep trying to infest the green pepper plants but I’m checking it every day and wiping the leaves down to make sure it stays protected. All the other plants are doing great! I’m figuring out this crazy hydroponic robot tower and it’s cool to be able to watch how science works. I’m loving watching everything grow. The cilantro is just starting to come in to itself. Finally getting the serrated fringy leaves, the ones you want to eat. I planted slow bolt cilantro. I have baby greens, kale, arugula, spicy arugula, rosemary, tomatoes, green peppers, garlic chives, spinach and I’m about to start planting some root vegetables and fruits. That seems to be going OK! I’m hoping that it will continue to thrive while I’m out on the road. I have to leave around February 8 and I’ll be gone for about two weeks so I am hoping and praying to all of the plant Gods that everything stays healthy while I’m gone🙏🌱🤗 so this is my therapy. I’m really proud of it, it makes me excited to wake up in the morning because I know the first thing that I’m going to do is touch my plants and spend time with them. It’s the perfect way to start the day. How do you like to start your day?
