Many moons ago, in Chicago, I met Jeez Louise, a Chicago cabaret legend and the number one burlesque figure in the world.
Literally Jeez Louise won that title!....
Do you have any idea how much talent, drive and ambition that takes?
More than I got, I’ll tell you that.
I’ve looked up to Jeez as a fellow performer since the first time seeing her perform.
Over the years I have come to know and understand Jeez beyond being just another talented artist.
Over the years I’ve paid rapt attention to her career and drawn closer to Jeez. (I struggle with closeness at times) I watched the industry react to her and in turn watched her respond to the industry.
I unfolded the origami of my mind into different shapes around her. I grew from her, I liked it.
I’ve come to understand more about the nuances that create the depth with which she feels her craft. Which helps me better explore emotional depths in my own craft.
I grew to better understand the why?
Why is her stage presence so powerful?
How does she stand so strong and stoic at times on stage yet in a moments notice she is able to reach such great emotional peaks and valleys?
To watch Jeez create is to witness a great strength in thigh high, black, patent leather boots French kissing an intensely playful vulnerability in a gold lame tribute bra.
You.
Can’t.
Look.
Away.
And that may or may not make one a little quiggly down under, if ya catch my drift.
Jeez brings that rawness and excitement to her patreon so do yourself a favor and check her out! You won’t be sorry.
