This is one of Lynn O’Neill’s original posters (from my personal collection) that would have been set up before and after her live stage performance.
O’Neill’s mother would’ve displayed it on an easel at her “original garter girl” stand and probably would’ve been the one handling this poster the most. Lynne would most likely pose with patrons after her show and sign autographs for everyone giving out a garter to each at about a buck or two per fan. That’s my best guess in price.
As you can see there are certainly signs of age and water damage on the poster but overall it’s in good condition for how old it is.
I would imagine this poster would date back to the late 1940s into the 1950s.
I have enclosed an example of an original garter that would have possibly been sold at this stand or sent through the mail.
