Added 2020-08-03 17:34:01 +0000 UTCMy friend Tiffany came across this incredible burlesque set from a burlesque performer named Jaime Jamison from the 1980s. This Photo of Jaime Jameson specifically is from 1984. This photo does not showcase Jaime wearing this incredible fire costume rather shows her in a completely different costume, that’s good enough for me because I have her contact information so that I can reach out to her and talk about her life as a burlesque stripper.
I appreciate the care with which Tiffany purchases these costumes. I love that she actually takes the time to get to know the history of the costumes if possible and records contact information to ensure these pieces have provenance.
I just ordered this set, so I haven’t had an opportunity to try it on yet but I’m quite sure that it will probably be too tiny for me. If it’s a close fit, I may have my seamstress Maya make some alterations so that it fits. If it’s way too tiny, I’ll find somebody tiny to wear it for future photo and video shoots for stripping History.
Also.... i love this history because I only drink Jameson 🥃
