Storm prep

As some of you may know, we have a storm coming towards us here in Puerto Rico. This is what I have done with my morning, I’ve taken all of my potted plants and moved them to safety so that they don’t get hurt in the storm. Took down all of my bamboo curtains. Taped the windows shut. We have yet to cover the pool and secure the Casita at Barks of Hope.

Jeremy Memphis and Oliver are headed up to Barks Of Hope to take care of the dogs and secure the Casita that Memphis has been fixing up to move into.

Memphis is currently staying with Oliver at my studio on the beach, they will come up to our house for tonight until the storm is over for safety just in case we take on water.

Honestly, I don’t think that it’s going to be a really bad storm, I think that we will all be just fine. At this point I’m kind of more concerned about the dogs up at Barks of hope and my plants. We probably will lose electricity because if you fart in the wrong direction in Puerto Rico the Island loses electricity….

We probably will lose cellular service as well and Internet so I’m not sure when will be the next time I will be able to post but hopefully it will come back quickly so that we can have our live Super Volcano tier Burlesque performance on Saturday🎉

I’m not really worried about the storm turning into a big hurricane, I’m more concerned about mudslides and flooding in the mountains at this point.

The Casita is in the hills and was definitely heavily damaged during Maria because a mudslide came directly into the casita but leo built a nice retaining wall so it should hold up this time.

I thought you might like a little update. If we have Internet service I will continue to update you throughout the storm ⛈
