Since the move around the corner from my old house in PR I have found a few new favorite places in my new safe space. Here are a few spots I love to lounge around in.
Sometimes when I feel stressed out I literally walk laps in my little house to take in the calming scenery, and it usually works.
It’s always an interesting process figuring out where my plants will feel happy when I move. It’s so funny, there’s so much like kids and sometimes pets. They have spaces in the house where they feel happy and able to grow and then there are other spaces in the house that have equal light, you would think they would be equally as happy but they’re not. It’s this incredible combination combination of light play, breeze, food, and energy. I truly believe that the plants love being in a place where there are a lot of people, where they’re not forgotten about so they get watered and fed on time, I truly believe they feel the energy of the household and respond in like. During the dark times when things are more depressing when I’m having a more difficult time with my BiPolar disorder, they tend to be more needy, they need more food and water, they need more love and attention just like me. I find my plants to be a good reflection of how I’m doing emotionally. If my plants don’t look well, if they look sad or droopy, I usually am too… isn’t that strange? But, it’s so cool because once I see them perk up, it automatically strikes a chord in me to do the same. My plants actually remind me to take care of my mental and physical health. I’m thankful for that.
