Here she is in all her glory!

Finally, the reveal of the entire Reefer Madness costume! This costume came about over years of sourcing and research. I tried out so many different pieces that I actually have 2 full green costumes now. I decided to make the second costume a Tropical Carmen Miranda style number. I will gladly show it off when it’s fully completed. The feather fans were hand made out of titanium marijuana shaped staves by Donna Touch in Chicago. Donna Touch is an incredible feather fan engineer and has a lifetime of experience in burlesque and Fan dancing as well as an Arsenal of fan designing artistry. I’m honored to be using her fans, always. The headdress was originally much smaller and less Kelly green so I added feathers from an old set of feather fans of lesser quality that I ordered from China, those broke within the first month of purchasing them..... feather fans have a lot of weight so the plastic staves of the fans from China were just not strong enough to last through The wear and tear.

I purchase many items from China and am usually satisfied with the work and customer service but it’s a no go on the fans from now on. Too much of a gamble now that I know how these Donna Touch fans hold up!

The corset is from www.corsetry.com and the bra and shimmy skirt were handmade by me.

The beautiful green tiki carved wood stilettos were made by www.luckyloushoes.com they are a dream to wear on stage with a solid wood base and slight platform heel, so beautifully carved.

I rarely used to wear wigs because I get hot on stage and hate any extra layers but I’m starting to incorporate them more into my routines but you best believe that I will not put a wig on my head time ready to walk out on stage and I’ll snatch that wig off my head as soon as my ass hits the wings.
