Trudy Wayne, Body Deluxe
Added 2019-10-09 12:13:08 +0000 UTCAs I was pulling the trigger on eBay this morning, buying this “Sir magazine for males”, to add to my ever expanding Trudy Wayne collection, I got to thinking about Burlesque names and how personal they are. Some performers choose to get creative with their own moniker while other performers have their Burlesque names bestowed upon them by agents, producers, etc.
i’m coming up with a list of questions to ask when I speak with Trudy Wayne‘s family. One of those questions will be “did Trudy Wayne come up with her own name or was this name bestowed upon her?” I’ve heard rumblings and rumors but I don’t have a solid answer yet. There are so many questions swirling through my mind about this incredible artist. If you could speak to her family, what would you ask them about “Trudy Wayne” aka “Goldie”?

I'd be curious as to Trudy's motivation for getting into the profession. Did she enjoy the creativity of burlesque dancing? Was it the interacrion with her audience and fans? Did she need to support herself and want to make more money than other jobs available to her could offer? How did her family and friends react to her decision and subsequent success?
