My time on the road is always full of adventures and exciting experiences. Sometimes it’s overwhelming even though I love it. Those are the times when I need to find a beautiful spot and just stretch. To feel the ground under my feet and the wind in my hair is truly a refresher. Here is a series of stretches I use daily. Sometimes in my hotel room, sometimes on set, sometimes on the beach, in the forest or wherever. If i can refresh before the stress reaches an acute stage I can often times avoid a bipolar landslide. It’s crucial to my wellbeing that I notice the triggers and act before they manifest as depression or anxiety.
It’s really just taking a few moments to acknowledge my humanity in a world where we are all forced into molds that may not fit us properly. They pinch here or pull there, they are, at times heavy and burdensome these molds we stuff ourselves into. Just breathe and allow yourself to be, for a few moments, with no expectation.
