Also, wanted to mention (in case it wasn't clear) the location where they held this big meeting in Kings Landing is the ruins of what used to be the Dragon Pit. As Dany was saying, thats where her ancestors, while reigning over Westeros, would house their dragons so as not to roam free around the land all willy-nilly. But, as Tyrion has said, dragons do not do well in captivity, which is also what Dany was saying about how they eventually had smaller dragons and weaker, until they died out. But there's more to that story, about how the Dragon Pit got ruined and became like that, and relating to what Dany said about how this place was the beginning of the end for her family's dynasty. Which leads me to ask: Are you planning to watch House of the Dragon after you finish GoT??

So 2 things to clarify/expand on: 1) In 7x5, when Cersei confronts Jaime about secretly meeting with Tyrion, she tells him she's pregnant and he asks her who she will claim is the father, and she says "you". 2) I guess you forgot that Dany had 2 older brothers: Viserys, who we met in season 1 (Dany let Drogo kill him with melted gold), and Rhaegar who was the eldest son of the Mad King, and so he was the heir to the Iron Throne when Robert's Rebellion started. And Rhaegar already had heirs of his own at the time, because he has a young daughter and baby son with his wife Elia Martell (Oberyn's sister). Which is why Oberyn arrived in KL in season 4 ready to seek vengeance for the murders of his sister and his niece/nephew, who would've become king after Rhaegar's death. But as we know Tywin had them all killed so that Robert would be able to claim the throne uncontested (and also because Tywin was insulted that the Mad King arranged his son Rhaegar to marry a Martell instead of Cersei). So then, the only heir left it would seem is now Dany, but we know that Jon is the last remaining heir of Rhaegar, and because they confirm in this episode that Rhaegar and Lyanna married before Jon was born, that makes him a legitimate son, not a bastard. So he is technically the true heir.
