I should have known better

Look at her. She was so happy and full of hope. She believed miracles do come true but she was naive and wrong.

After almost ten weeks i had my laptop back in my hands. I couldn’t have been happier. Finally it was time to get back to normal but alas the universe had other plans for me. I got my laptop back yesterday and today i sat down to record Lost with so much excitement. Did my intro and everything was beautiful and great and then disaster struck. I turned my headphones on and when i started playing the episode the sound was all fucked up. I thought maybe my screen recording software was interfering somehow (has happened before) but no even with it closed the problem kept persisting. Then i turned the laptop on and off. After that the headphones wouldn’t even connect anymore. I was losing my fucking mind. I was genuinely so pissed i wanted to break something. It finally dawned on me that oh my god they fucked up the laptop’s bluetooth. I grabbed my old headphones and a speaker i have and tried them both but neither of them would connect. That’s when i knew i was fucked. I tried troubleshooting my bluetooth but the program says it works fine and everything’s fixed but it still doesn’t work. So i guess i know what i’m doing on Monday. I am so unlucky it’s crazy.

Thanks for reading my rant 😭

Buy a Mac next time! This just doesn’t happen with Macs. And if there is an issue we usually fix it within a few days (I’m a computer technician).

I don't know if that makes you feel better or worse, but I don't think you're that unlucky. Everything you've described so far seems pretty much like a standard customer experience to me, unfortunately. Laptops very often can't get repaired at all and the huge delay, the empty promises and generally horrible customer service are unfortunately very much the norm nowadays, especially in the field of electronics and IT, where there are a lot of quasi-monopolies. (Apple, Microsoft, Google ...) The fewer alternatives customers have, the worse the customer service is. But perhaps most importantly, companies want customers to buy new gadgets, not fix old ones, because they make more money that way, that's why their repair shops are so bad. Capitalism has failed us once again ... Anyway, I wish you the best of luck with your computer, miracles do happen sometimes. (Though I'm still in favour of crowdfunding for a new computer, I would definitely support you.)
