Add to not, not counting the rewrite of ch 9, the last new chap before this one was march 3rd. This is feeling awfully similar to the previous 2 random hiatuses, where release rate would slow to a crawl and the author would simply vanish without a trace for months. At this point, I can only guess he put up the poll for the rewrite, didn't get the response he wanted/hoped for, and hit a wall again.

Could be the new go-to place for brave souls to explore the mana-dense region, or a source of timber from the edges of it. To be honest, a village with good farmland, plentiful timber, a quarry, an iron mine AND a thingy mine... you know, the magical stuff. Crap, i forgot what it's called and am too lazy to look it up. Anyway, all those natural resources in one area is quite the location. I can only imagine it was never developed further because it was too far away from the protection of the established kingdom(s). That makes me wonder. Do the other villages in the area have their own small scale mining operations? Otherwise it wouldn't be strange if Spotted Creek traded metal works like nails and farm tools locally. They'd probably rather take a trip of one or two days than buy it from Kervin, since it'd be cheaper. I think I've seen it put like this: The price of an item can be seen as a value in both time and money. Spend more time, and it will cost less money. Spend more money, and it will take less time. In this example - spend four days (two days to get there, two days back) to get the cheaper ironwares, or spend more money so you can spend your time on other things. Most villages tend to have more time to spend and less money.

Tabitha doesn't seem to fussed but promised to remember. Now she and Pacore are meeting up again, and Del is in proximity, I could see her getting revenge by having him try some of Pacore's alcohol.

At the rate it was improving, I could see it one day growing into a city that would rival any other. Just reread and this passage stood out to me. I was thinking something similar at some point. Though maybe not actual city but more a fortress/frontier-town given its proximity to the mana dense region. The region was neglected by Olebert because they have access to the forest from other places but Scholl will only now have access to it. So the Village will make the perfect trading post/staging point for any groups of hunters and explorers from Scholl's side, making its growth almost inevitable.

I started about 2 weeks ago so most everything is still fresh for me. There were a few minor inconsistencies I caught. The wall was supposed to take 1.5-2 years and it has only been about 8-9 months. Sandra was mentioned to be just entering her second trimester 3 days before Aaliyah and Tabitha left making he just over half way through now. Idk if it was intentional, but the mayor's name is Camden. It was Darrius not Darrious. Please feel free to reach out if there is anything else you are unsure about. Unfortunately she's lacking a few dozen levels for that to be feasible and she still needs a few years of combat training at least, so going with Tabitha seems like the best solution for now.

I look forward to seeing the tussle over aaliyahs future allegiance if only on the basis that Pitz is playing by a completely different rulebook from our MC and Pacore and just refuses to accept it. Not that Pacore has a great handle on her either. I think ultimately the decider for her is going to be that she is going to go with Tabitha because she has to protect her. I'm not even joking. Scholl sounds rough as hell socially and I could see Aaliyah wanting to look out for her sister from another mister.

I was confused by the armory since I think the town already had an armory with basic armaments and armor for the militia (caps and spears) but it actually makes sense in that society to have a second armory inside the mayors house with nicer stuff for the higher level combatants. Anyone over level fifty gets the stuff that needs more maintenance and gussied care but its also too valuable to have in the common area.

After that there were a bunch of other directions that (I believe) were internally consistent with each other. But they all went against the map we were once given for the cities and surroundings (assuming its top was north).
