"Anointed" is another word for chosen. It's not a coincidence that the Anointed One is referred to in a similar way to Buffy. She is also referred to as the Chosen One. Glad you liked this one. And the kid being the Anointed One really got me too the first time I saw this one.

2020-11-27 09:11:32 +0000 UTCI love that Giles and Buffy conversation at the end :) In fact I like this episode, even if Owen is at times pretentious and a weirdo. My other favourite moments, Angel's jealous look, the 'why is the librarian at Buffy's' scene and Giles' 'I am so done' expression when he hands Owen the book in the library - go check it out, go, do it! ;)
