L straight up doesn't even want to consider that their might be actual gods involved, cause if thats the case there isnt anything humans can do against gods and he doesnt know how much they would be involved. He rather just believe kira is just a human that developed some kind of supernatural power but can still be delt with as a human without somekind of actual god on his side

2025-10-24 09:35:51 +0000 UTCaight here my theory or Misa lifespan. Misa had 0 lifespan left, was supposed to die, but that was stopped. Shinigami, as ryuk said before, only really use their notes to extend their life so we can assume they generally wait until its almost dry, reap a couple souls, and get a few more years. Since Gelus spent most all of his time watching Misa, we can assume he either had an abundance or very little. Its likely he only did his "job" when his lifespan was low like other Shinigami, so I really dont think Misa inherited much from him at all. Apparently in the original manga, Rem explains that the years given to Misa is translated to fit a human life. Even if she inherited enough to let her live to 90-100, at 19 she would've only inherited ~80 at most, now 40 because of the eyes.
