KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

Oh boy, what a week. For some reason, I was incredibly busy this week, though I can’t really recall what I was specifically busy with. I know I finished up the very first issue of my new magazine series Atosaki, which I shared just a teaser of on my Instagram (@markvelasquezphoto) this morning. I also edit a bunch of video for that project, as well as took care of numerous household requirements from my fiancée. But otherwise, nothing all that new to report.

How are you all holding up? It’s been over a month of quarantine, and frankly, I know many of you are starting to go a bit batty. I know we are. We bicker more, quibble over petty things, but also seem to laugh and appreciate each other more. I hope the same is true with you and your families during this crisis.

So for today’s post, I had several requests for new images from a model I shot a lot several years ago named Lauren. Since she moved away and stopped modeling, I really didn’t think I had any work we made together that I hadn’t shared until I discovered this series. I’m pretty sure it’s new…but I could be wrong. 

Anyway, I know you’ll love this series, it’s one of the largest I ever shot with her and probably one of the most beautiful. Taken in her personal bedroom, on her personal bed, this is as genuine and intimate a series as you can find.

Please enjoy this extensive series, it’s simply jaw-dropping. I hope you are all doing your best out there in this crazy new world. Please be kind and please stay safe out there.
