TOWARDS ANOTHER PATH

Erika is one of my closest friends and longest collaborators. She is smart, funny, goofy, troubled, complex, mature, and self-aware. Like myself, she struggles to find sanity in an increasingly troubling world, yet she does it with grace, poise, and charm.

Obviously, I adore this special woman. We have shared so many highs and lows, and have come through it for the better and together. She is a part of my family in a way that some blood-relatives are not, and I make no excuses or apologies for it.

These photos were taken around Christmas of 2019, just as she was slowly starting to come out of yet another contemplative, challenging time in her young life. These images are pure, with not much story; essentially an exercise in capturing sincerity and genuine beauty. I love this images because they aren’t complex or overdone, they are simple, basic, yet representative of her true self.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as she and I both do. Please have a wonderful week and, as always, be safe out there.
