Aila's Ramblings - 12/21/22

A massive thank you to everyone for reading up to the current 200 chapters!  The original plan was to do about 50 chapters per school year to total up to 200 chapters, and obviously, it spiraled out of control.  Still, we are in their last year, so it should be done within the next few months.  

Also another big thanks for everyone's patience in November, after my aunt passed.
It was very taxing for me and my family, but reading everyone's kind words were comforting, and I am sincerely grateful for everyone's patience and kindness.

Let's make some announcements:

📣 Up Coming Break? 📣

I was going to take December off, but after some consideration, I did not.  In my personal life, I didn't have much planned.  Usually work starts to slow down around Thanksgiving, as everyone starts to take time off, and this continues until the first week of January.  The projects I'm working on for work are manageable for the time being.  At least until I'm volun-told to do something again.  (Update: I was.)

So, no break until after NEW YEARS.  I will likely take the 2nd and 3rd week of January off.

And if for some reason the story continues until April, which it shouldn't, I will be out the last two weeks of April.

🔥 What Are My Plans Post "Tori"🔥

1.  Take a very long break.
2.  I don't know. 

In all seriousness, writing at least 17K words a week for weeks at a time can be challenging, especially since I have a day job.  I had discussed what I plan to do afterwards with one of my writing friends and we considered everything between posting some previously written/completed original work to character-centric short stories of the TT characters to random smut.  

In the end, I'm still undecided though I'm leaning towards character-centric side stories that don't require the commitment of a serial.  I am enjoying writing Alexander's POV a lot, actually.  I truly enjoy writing, so I will of course continue.  However, whether anyone hears from me again soon is a mystery.  

📚 Compiling "Tori Transmigrated" Into ePub Format 📚

Of course, after two months of recovery time, I promised myself that I would come back to this story to properly review it, smoothen it out, and put it in a epub format for you guys to download.  Then a separate collection of side stories.  

I said I would do that and I really want to, so I'm going to.  It will just take time.  

🖋️Update My Writing Blog 🖋️

That thing where I put various lore.  

I got many excellent questions from readers regarding writing and I thought it would be useful to compile them for more people to read.  I don't really talk much about my "process as a writer" 🤣, but since people have asked, it would probably be useful to record my responses.

Whether or not anyone finds them useful is debatable, though.  I'm no expert.  I just write a lot.  And also I do have formal education in novel writing, but outside of that, I'm just a lady with laptop and an over active imagination.

My friend has a writing podcast and they go way deeper into technicalities and processes, covering things like theme and plot.  That would probably be more useful for new writers, but it is very focused on traditional novel writing.  It's called "Writing As a Verb" if anyone is interested.  

Anyway, if anyone has any questions about writing, please don't hesitate to send me a message.  I am happy to try to answer and share whatever experience I have. If I can't answer or don't feel I can explain properly, I go to my brother and friends to ask.
