LAZY SUMMER DAYS
The reason so many of us work so hard during the week is so that on the weekends we can relax, do as little as possible, and enjoy the few brief hours of freedom we’ve earned.
This summer has been a whirlwind, what with teaching a summer class, killing myself finding freelance work, and doing as much as I can to pay the bills. Still, thankfully I’m able to find a small period of time here and there to stop, reflect, and appreciate my life and how much happier I am as a person than I was two years ago.
This new series of my dear friend and muse Erika, taken at the foot of my new bed in my new place, is a perfect example of the feeling I’m talking about. Not only is she enjoying the sun, comfortable and relaxed, but she was content during this shoot. We joked and laughed, her boyfriend there laughing with us as I gave him photography tips he wanted. This was a fun and easy afternoon that we all had earned, and we took full advantage of just enjoying the moment.
So I hope you yourself enjoy looking at this huge series, featuring one of the most beautiful women I know. Have a great summer and try to take a minute here and there to enjoy what you can.
