PERFECTLY STILL
I’ve been working with Erika for over five years now, ever since she was a fresh-faced rave-attending 18 year old with crazy, colorful hair and piercings everywhere. Over the years, her look has streamlined, she’s become more comfortable being her naturally beautiful ands elegant self. But she still has the color, passion, and intensity of her younger self.
This is a series that happened almost by accident. While shooting her lingerie set I posted a few weeks ago, I noticed a sliver of light coming through the window of my front door, and I quickly turned off all my fancy lighting equipment and started shooting naturally with only the harsh natural light streaming through. The contrast of the intense light and shadow, highlighting her tan skin and natural curves, immediately became a magical event, and she and I both knew it.
