Cut-Off, Pt. 3

CUT-OFF

This is just part one of a four-part series of my dear friend and model, Erika, in a hotel room in Los Angeles. Her boyfriend had been assisting me on a large photo job I had booked that week, and she decided to come down and meet us. I had booked a room in a fairly fancy hotel, one of the nicest I’d stayed in, and they both marveled at the amenities, especially the room service, which was delivered on a rolling tray they had never seen in real life.

Once we were done eating our $20 burgers and $15 salads, Erika changed into her first of many outfits from that night. She had brought this large sweatshirt, which I am sure she acquired on one of her many thrift store excursions, and had the idea of cutting it enough to show plenty of underboob. It took three rounds of cuts, getting shorter and shorted every time, of course, until finally the camera was capturing exactly what I wanted and what she felt comfortable with.

Erika’s boyfriend, Jeff, had never witnessed one of our shoots, though he had known me and trusted me since she and I first met three years ago. As usual, she and I talked non-stop while shooting, but with a third-party interjecting into our conversation, I found her to be a bit more self-conscious. Her nervous smile, as you can see on the link, came out even more than usual with him in the room.

Still, everything went smoothly, and Jeff and I continued to try to convince her to get more serious about her modeling career. This was several months ago, and only yesterday did she decide to make a model account on Instagram. Her new account is: https://www.instagram.com/erika_deleijaa/?hl=en
