This year, I singled out one of my dearest friends and models, Erika, and wanted do something a little extra special for her. Not only does she model for me without ever asking for anything other than photos, she offers her time and friendship to me, and vice versa. We have become each other confidantes over the three years I've known her and I can't imagine my current work and inspiration without her. not to mention, she gives me free haircuts in my living room whenever I ask.
Erika never asks for anything, and when I have offered her things in the past, even things she desperately needed, she has always humbly and stubbornly refused. Then when I saw her mention online that she had been making a private wishlist of items on a website she loved, I begged her to give me the secret link, and after some hemming and hawing, she finally relented.
