Put it another way, your bonus content are all the extra chapters I'm posting this weekend.
Instead, something fun! A pool for people to call what Elaine's future plant/fungi/dinosaur/animal companion will be!
The prize: Infinite "I told you so's". Special Discord flair.
Anything you can imagine that's a classical fantasy creature, dinosaur, or from ANY mythology is fair game. I'm not going to pull a creature I've made up on all of you.
If you want to guess the same thing that someone else has already guessed, you can guess the elemental alignment as well as a reply comment. For example, if someone has guessed "Wolf", you could guess "Wind" as a reply. If Elaine's companion ends up being a wind-aligned wolf, you win!

After being dubbed the golden crow, I expect her to get a Crow probably of the variant (ie a local crow rather then an earth crow that may be bigger or have unique abilities) variety. Probably starting with an element like wind, fire or darkness but evolving into a celestial variant and becoming ‘gold’. Edit; My brain has came upon an idea I can not let go and so I share it with you. Should her familiar be a crow (or any flying creature ideally)... Celestial/Fire, Mentor is Artemis, Party has a love of Greek stories (or at least one does). Pet name “Apollo”

2020-11-10 17:02:19 +0000 UTCHm. A Miniature Giant Space Hamster would align with Celestial affinity, I think, and possibly tie in with the worlds-walking background. As for defensive capability, all I can say is, "Go for the eyes, Boo! GO FOR THE EYES!!" Might be copyright issues, though.

2020-11-08 11:00:51 +0000 UTCAhh so many ideas I can't choose which one I like the most. Well, good thing I don't have to. A Cat is what naturally came to mind first. Personalitywise a good fit with how curious they and our MC are, the playfullness and running too. Another similarity is how cats are said to have more than one live and Elaine being on her second run. It also wouldnt be a problem taking a cat into a city while it also fits right into the wilderness - no wonder cats are one of the standard familiars, but maybe a bit too boring. A more interesting one would be a chameleon. But the only real reason I'm suggesting it is because I really want her to do something with her connection to the god of change and I couldnt come up with something better and creative. The one I like the most would be a snake. With her having made the skill equivalent of the Hippocratic Oath it is only right that she'll get a rod of Asclepius, the snake entwind staff that symbolizes healing and medicine.
