Sorry . . .
Added 2024-03-16 00:00:06 +0000 UTCI'm sorry for the poor month of writing. Last month, I took a week off to write, even paying £500 for childcare for the pair of them for the week to cover their holiday from school, but instead, I just crashed hard, only managing two chapters instead of the five I had hoped to write. Work continues to be challenging, with several hundreds of words reports to write and/or rewrite. My wife is in the final stretch of her four-year degree while working, and then there are the children. Weekends are never a break with two swimming, two ballet, and two gymnastics sessions to take children to. There is a daily coin toss for who is covering the childcare, bedtime routine and dinners and who has the opportunity to try and catch up on their work, which we both always seem to be chronically behind on.
Thank you for being so patient. I fully understand that readers come and go when my writing is slow. Anyway, I hope you are still enjoying the story and having a more relaxed year than I am.
May your bearings always be true

Thanks for the thoughtful explanation. Family (and mental health) comes first. It is a wonderful story- I look forward to reading it at whatever pace you write!
