Godfather System C156 Be a man

Lorenzo patted Alexandro on the head as he saw him off to school. Michael Jr., the son of his driver Mike, stood nearby, ready to walk with Alexandro.

As the two boys set off, their conversation quickly turned animated. Michael, his eyes bright with excitement, regaled Alexandro with tales of his after-school adventures.

"You wouldn't believe it, Alex," Michael said, his voice hushed with conspiratorial glee. "Yesterday, I managed to swipe old man Grunwald's wallet without him even noticing. The look on his face when he realized it was gone!" He chuckled, then quickly added, "Don't worry, I put it back. I just wanted to see if I could do it."

Alexandro's eyes widened with a mixture of shock and curiosity. "Wow, really? Weren't you scared of getting caught?"

Michael shook his head, grinning. "Nah, that's the best part. The thrill, you know? It's like being in one of those heist movies, heart pounding, adrenaline rushing. Makes you feel alive!"

Alexandro, who had lived a sheltered life of luxury, found himself intrigued. "What's it feel like? That... excitement?"

Michael's eyes lit up. "It's like... imagine the biggest roller coaster you've ever been on, but ten times more intense. You're always on edge, every sense heightened. It's thrilling!"

Alexandro bit his lip, curiosity overwhelming his better judgment. "Do you think... could you teach me?"

Michael's enthusiasm faltered, a flicker of wariness crossing his face. "I don't know, Alex. Your dad... he's the boss, you know? If he found out I was teaching you this stuff..."

Alexandro nodded, understanding Michael's hesitation. "Yeah, I get it. It's just... sometimes I wonder what it's like, you know? To live on the edge like that."

Michael looked at Alexandro, his internal struggle evident in his furrowed brow. Finally, as they neared their school, he let out a resigned sigh. "Alright, fine. I'll let you experience a bit of that thrill. But just once, okay?"

Alexandro's eyes lit up. "Really? You mean it?"

Michael nodded, then leaned in close, his voice dropping to a whisper. "There's this fancy house I've been scoping out. Maybe we could... you know, sneak in and grab something small. Just to say we did it."

Alexandro's heart raced at the idea, but a flicker of doubt crossed his face. "How would we even get in? Won't it be locked up tight?"

A mischievous grin spread across Michael's face. "That's the fun part. We don't use the door. See, there's this trick where you can climb up the side of a building, using window ledges and pipes. It's like being Batman, but for real."

He demonstrated with his hands, mimicking the climbing motion. "You just have to be quick, light on your feet. Before you know it, you're slipping through an open window, and bam! You're in."

Alexandro listened, a mix of awe and apprehension on his face. "That sounds... terrifying. And amazing."

Michael clapped him on the back. "That's the point, buddy. It's the fear that makes it exciting. So, you in?"

As they reached the school gates, Alexandro hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, I'm in. When do we do this?"

Michael's grin widened. "After school. Meet me at the old oak tree in the park. And remember, not a word to anyone."

As they parted ways for class, Alexandro felt a thrill of anticipation mixed with a twinge of guilt. He was about to step into a world far removed from the one he knew, and he couldn't help but wonder what his father would think.

***

As the school day ended, Alexandro met Michael at their agreed spot. The air was thick with anticipation, but their plans were quickly derailed as a group of older boys approached, their faces set in sneers.

The leader, a tall boy named Jake, stepped forward, his eyes fixed on Alexandro. "Well, well, if it isn't Lupo's little prince. Slumming it with the commoners today?"

Michael tried to defuse the situation. "Come on, Jake, we don't want any trouble-"

Jake shoved Michael aside, sending him stumbling. "Shut it, Mikey. This is between me and rich boy here."

Turning back to Alexandro, Jake's voice dripped with contempt. "What do you say, Lupo? Ready to step out from behind daddy's shadow and be a real man? Or are you too scared to throw a punch without your bodyguards around?"

Alexandro felt his heart racing, a mix of fear and anger coursing through him. He glanced at Michael, who shook his head slightly, silently urging him not to take the bait.

But Jake pressed on, his words cutting deep. "That's what I thought. All money, no spine. Bet you've never even been in a real fight."

Something snapped inside Alexandro. "Fine," he said, his voice steadier than he felt. "You want a fight? Let's do it."

A chorus of surprised cheers erupted from Jake's friends. One of them called out, "Hey Jake, go easy on him. We don't need Lupo Sr. coming after us."

Jake grinned, cracking his knuckles. "Don't worry, I'll just rough him up a bit. Teach him a lesson about the real world."

As they squared off, Michael tried to push through the circle of boys. "Alex, don't do this! It's not worth it!"

But Alexandro stood his ground, his fists raised awkwardly in front of him. He was terrified, having never been in a real fight before, but a part of him was also exhilarated. This was the 'thrill' he'd been curious about, albeit not in the way he'd expected.

As Jake advanced, Alexandro took a deep breath, steeling himself for whatever came next. In that moment, he felt more alive – and more scared – than he ever had before.

Jake advanced, throwing a punch that caught Alexandro squarely in the face. The group erupted in cheers while Michael cried out in alarm, "Alex!"

Smirking, Jake taunted, "Had enough, rich boy? Or can you still fight after tasting a real punch?"

To everyone's surprise, Alexandro straightened up, seemingly unfazed. He raised his hands, a determined glint in his eye. "No, let's continue. Your punch was too weak."

The group burst into laughter, jeering at Jake. "Ooh, he called you weak!"

Jake's face flushed red with anger. "You asked for it, Lupo. No more holding back!"

He launched into a flurry of punches, attacking Alexandro relentlessly. Alexandro dodged clumsily, unable to fully evade the onslaught. Michael tried to intervene but was roughly shoved back, a punch to his gut leaving him gasping.

"Stay out of this!" one of Jake's friends growled.

Michael could only watch helplessly as Alexandro weathered the storm of blows. But something strange was happening. Despite the hits landing, Alexandro didn't seem to be in much pain.

Inwardly, Alexandro was a whirlwind of emotions - nervous yet thrilled. The punches hurt, sure, but nowhere near as much as he'd expected. He found himself thinking, 'Hera hits harder than this during our training.'

As the fight continued, Alexandro's confidence grew. He started to move more fluidly, his body remembering the defensive techniques his parents had taught him. Jake's frustration mounted as more of his punches began to miss their mark.

The crowd's cheers became tinged with confusion. This wasn't going the way they'd expected. The rich kid was holding his own, and Jake was starting to look winded.

Alexandro, breathing hard but steady, locked eyes with Jake. "Is that all you've got?" he taunted, surprised by his own bravado.

The air crackled with tension as everyone realized this fight was far from over.

Jake's attacks became more frenzied, his earlier caution forgotten in a haze of anger. "I'll show you weak!" he snarled, throwing punch after punch.

Alexandro, still on the defensive, found himself adapting to the rhythm of the fight. Jake's blows, while powerful, began to seem predictable. The crowd watched in growing disbelief as Alexandro not only withstood the assault but started to fight back.

Michael, his worry giving way to a glimmer of hope, thought to himself, 'He really is Lorenzo's son. That strength... it's not normal.'

Suddenly, Alexandro saw an opening. With a swift movement that surprised even himself, he landed a solid punch to Jake's gut. The impact was immediate and devastating.

Jake doubled over, retching and gasping for air. Before he could recover, Alexandro followed up with a punch to the face that sent Jake crumpling to the ground, out cold.

A stunned silence fell over the group. Then, panicked voices rose. "Jake! Jake, are you okay?"

As Jake's friends rushed to check on their fallen leader, Alexandro retreated to Michael's side, both of them quickly putting distance between themselves and the shocked group.

"That was... incredible," Michael breathed, still processing what he'd just witnessed.

As they hurried away, Alexandro's adrenaline began to fade, replaced by confusion. "Why does Jake hate me so much? Is it just because my family's rich?"

Michael chuckled, shaking his head. "That's part of it, sure. But there's more to it than that."

Alexandro's brow furrowed. "What do you mean?"

"Well," Michael said, a hint of amusement in his voice, "Jake's also jealous because you've been getting attention from Lea."

"Lea?" Alexandro's eyes widened in surprise. "The girl from our class? But I barely talk to her!"

Michael grinned. "Doesn't matter. Jake's had a crush on her forever, and he can't stand that she seems interested in you."

Alexandro just sighed, shaking his head at the complexities of school drama. Michael, still in awe, said, "I can't believe you can fight like that. Where'd you learn those moves?"

Alexandro scratched the back of his head, looking a bit embarrassed. "Sometimes my sister Hera forces me to train with her. To be honest, Jake's punches felt weaker than hers."

Michael looked at Alexandro with a mix of disbelief and amusement. "Well, I guess that makes sense. Hera's a few years older, right?"

"No, you don't get it," Alexandro insisted. "Even my little sister Ariana hits harder than Jake did."

Michael's jaw dropped, his eyes wide with disbelief. "You're kidding, right?"

Seeing Michael's incredulous expression, Alexandro quickly changed the subject. "So, about that house we were planning to check out..."

Michael sighed, seemingly grateful for the change in topic. "Right, yeah. It's in Bel Air, this really ritzy neighborhood. I've been scoping out some houses there, but this one... it's different. Bigger, fancier, but also riskier. If we pull it off though, the payoff could be huge."

Alexandro couldn't help but feel a surge of anticipation. "Oh man, I can't wait. What's the plan?"

As they walked, Michael began outlining his strategy in hushed tones. Alexandro listened intently, his earlier fight forgotten in the face of this new adventure. Despite the thrill he'd felt during the confrontation with Jake, this - the planning, the risk, the potential reward - was the kind of excitement he'd been craving.
