Reunited again!

Penguin and Thor are both fully healed, so they are finally back together!! Their yard unfortunately has zero fun stuff now. I had to remove everything to prevent Penguin from climbing as much. He’ll always be a high risk for hernias. Thor gets playtime with his parents next door every morning though, so he still has lots of fun stuff to climb on. I considered getting tunnels for Penguin, but unfortunately EVERYTHING is food to him and I can’t risk anything cloth around him.

Our Momo boy

This is still a hard post to share, but I need to make it anyway.

Our sweet little Momo is no longer with us. I needed some time before I put that out there as it was a very sudden loss. Even though he was our seizure fox, this was not what took his life. A large coral snake was found deceased in their yard. The snake had multiple areas that were definitely chewed on by Momo. Momo also had a bump on his chin that wasn’t there that AM, so I can only assume that is where the snake bit ...

A Free Penguin!

The boys may now be lamps, but Penguin is officially lamp free! His final vet recheck was all positive news as he’s declared recovered!!

This is fantastic news, but the unfortunate part is that he is always going to be at high risk of a reoccurrence for hernias. I’ll be implementing new protocols to help minimize this risk as much as possible. Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again.

Happy Monday yall! Russ here.

It was a BEAUTIFUL day yesterday so I spent a good amount of time playing with different lenses, filters, and built in effects on my camera.

In fact, I took so many photos, I had to split the dump into 2 posts! I have the other one scheduled on Wednesday.

Penguin

Just wanted to let you know Penguin had to have urgent surgery for an umbilical hernia we found on him. So far he’s doing really well and we are optimistic he’ll make a full recovery! We are sad to see him back in quarantine again though. 😞

Russell was having a tough time convincing Halo it was bath time!!

Halo LOVES bath time but the idea of getting in the bathing tub can be a bit scary! Once she was in she settled in and loved her warm bath. 🥰

Teefer’s turn!

Since I moved the family out of Fawzi’s pen, I moved Teefers in! Fawzi’s pen is only used while he is here for the winter time. Teefers has been in quarentine because we have not had enough help to build his permanent home yet. So until Fawzi returns, Teefers gets the master suite!!

This AM I moved the family into their new pen and yard!

The kits are old enough that certain safety concerns are no longer a worry, so everyone was moved. Loki and Thor will be permanently paired with other adults that they have been spending time with daily since they arrived. Now they can all see one another for play dates in preparation for their permanent moves in with respective adults!
