Well, here we are. The remastering process takes so long that I had to remaster the remaster...

Well okay. To be fair, the first remastered is indeed more of a remaster, it was mostly just the old one with details here and there modified. It's one of the oldest remade page, don't know when I did it precisely but I haven't even detailed the changes here in a patreon post, something that I started rather early on in the process.

And I did with it what I thought this entire process would be at the time : just slightly touch up the old pages ! Redo the faces, the rest will be fine enough !

Yyyyyyeaaaaaaahhhh... weeeeeeelll....

Y'see, the problem is that by trying to keep some old art, I have to fit to that old art as well. Resulting in this first remaster that has suuuuuper thick linework which simply won't fit with the rest of the redone comic anymore.

Because now that's largely what this comic is. Redone. I certainly started it as a "remaster" but I just can't leave it be. So most of the art is always redone now, on almost every pages.  Which means the process takes longer, which means the earlier pages remade now look dated to me. This above is the clearest example but not the only one, had to go through and touch-up a few of the remade pages, like 62, 65 or 80 cos if I hadn't they'd look jarring compared to the more recent one (a problem compounded by the fact that I re-did pages in a random order, thus one page can be years older than the next one sequentially).

I don't think this is a big issue tho, this one page was the only one that was really bad. So the other pages aren't worth showing off right now, they're not fully remade like this one.

And I am happy I remade it cos the new one is cool ! Like the middle of the page, which in the first remaster I tried to not touch too much cos I thought it was fine enough for what it was so I just redid the font. And yeah, it's a less ugly font, colors are less garrish. It's easier to read. 

But it's just kinda boring. And the guitar in the background was really plain but it's annoying to draw guitars so I didn't want to redo it, especially since I couldn't just "modify" the guitar, it was the way it was or I had to redo-it. Well I redid it. And it was a pain.

The font is probably less readable now but it's electric yellow and flashy now ! It doesn't look like it's randomly popping in the middle of the page, it makes the page looks like a movie poster now !

There isn't much to say about the rest. Except that it's still not perfect in the first panel, that perspective doesn't look that good and Larsen's head is probably too big but whatever. It looks good enough. And Zee looks much better in the second panel with actual floof, I mostly redid the comic to add floof and then here it was, barely any added to this remaster, probably cos I didn't want it to impede too much on the guitar above. Well, now floof.

Well anyway, that's that. I'll have another Disintegrity page tomorrow I think probably maybe. Also, Roussel and Shippun Dickswordfighting won the poll !
