Early bird: Innkeepers keeping it in the family

Shadow suggested this follow up to my drawing of Jim Hawkins and his mom from the "Treasure Island" anime, and since it's been an eternity since I drew that picture, I agreed. I'm glad July is over since it hasn't been a very productive month for me. I apologize about that. A colleague at work caught the big C, so I had to do quite a bit of overtime in the last two weeks.

To be fair, most Disney moms look surprisingly young. Look at Aurora's mom from Sleeping Beauty, who anly differs from her daughter in her hair cut (in fact, both her parents don't look a second older between the day she's born and her sixteenth birthday).

Right now, I'm recalling that when Disney came out with *Treasure Planet*, a scene of Jim and his mom in the trailer I saw – she's looking around anxiously in a crowd, and then he comes up behind her, catches her by the shoulder, and hugs her – left me wondering if Disney had given him a _girlfriend_ for the movie. Seriously, she didn't look old enough to have a son his age ... and she looked very, very nice....

Nice family bonding :)
