This is the light setup of the previous photo post. Few years ago i discovered oldschool fresnel tungsten lights for myself and used them a loooooot for my shoots :)
They are cheap (2kW used "noname" lamps around 150 euros), powerfull, the light is beautiful and versatile. Downside they are hot and energy consumption is high. You also need a special device to be able to dim the power... otherwise u work with foil or flags to reduce power, as they run in full power all the time. And they take some space and are a bit heavy compared to modern led lights, but still very fun to use. Compared to aputure fresnel light modifier for LED lights in my opinion the oldschool fresnel lamps (does not matter if ARRI or other brands) have better quality of light, better shadows etc.

For this setup I used 3 lights, 2 on the sides from the front and 1 as backlight on the model.
Both lights on the front are 2kW lights and the backlight is 1kW.
When I worked with the fresnels I really liked all the hard shadows they are producing and the possibility to control the light beam with barn doors. I often used more lights just to have multiple shadow from the model in different directions and by doing that I often focused the lights on different parts of the model, to have cleaner shadows and more interesting kind of a look on her.
So here the lamp on the left is directed more towards the face of the model, while the lamp on the right is directed lower to light towards the lower body/legs of the model, and not that much on the face. It still can hit the face a little bit with some edge light to fill the shadows but the focus is lower.
The backlight is directed at the model to highlight her edge and to produce a shadow on the floor going towards the camera.
As you see on the BTS photo, the background does not get much light, because of the barndoors on the lamps and controlling the light.
On the right side I also use a black board to cut off the light and create an additional line on the floor.

Remember those oldschool lights are tungsten, so you need to adjust ur white balance. As you can see the white area of the studio which is not hit by those lights seem blue because there is some daylight coming from the windows.
