Ko with Sword

Afraid now it looks more like a giant popsicle than a sword! You'll have to let me know. 😅

Boy. Busy week! Time off is nice, but I always forget how hectic it is catching up on everything afterwards. Stayed mostly off grid, nose to the Cintiq, coloring Moonlit and thankfully managed to meet my weekly page quota because of that. So, feeling good about my productivity this first full week of the year.
Also found some time to sketch up another drawing of Ko this afternoon. Have yet to decide on what to call her pink shapeshifting pal. Thought it'd be fun though if he (she?) could only hold their shape for so long before melting. Might make for some funny (or dangerous) situations if I ever decide to make a comic with these two.
If you look at the rough, the shapeshifter originally was going to be some sort of long tailed mouse thing, with Ko holding a katana instead. Fun composition but I still prefer the above idea. And that's where we're at so far!

2025-01-12 01:35:30 +0000 UTCI like the idea of making Ko’s shapeshifting buddy genderless with non-gendered pronouns. As for a name, how about some version of combining Rene (for Rene Auberjonois) and Odo, the character he played on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine? Reno? Redo?
