SuperBatober 2024!

Happy last day of September! Which means tomorrow is the first day of October. Or, as I have affectionally come to call it, SuperBatober! A month where I draw a new little Batgirl x Supergirl drawing every day and then collapse into a coma for the month of November.

Joke. I can't collapse! I have a 300 page graphic novel due at the end of winter! In fact, because of that tight deadline, I was honestly planning on skipping SuperBatober this year. It was just going to be TOO much. I could already sense the disappointment in the pumpkin scented air though so I'm going to give it a go. Hooray!

As per tradition, I'll once again be using the official Inktober prompts:

Gosh look at those. Inktober clearly wants us artists to draw some sort of traveling narrative this year. I will not give in to these demands! Which means I may have to be a little extra creative. That's one of the major reasons I do this exercise anyways. It is possible some sort of loose narrative might develop anyhow. And even some traveling! I guess we'll see. I'm not very good at planning out the month.

I will be sharing SuberBatobers on the few scattered social places I still post to, BUT, as always, Patrons* will get to see them a full day early along with process stuff, a little commentary, possibly some wallpapers (if any of them work out) and maybe some other stuff if I think of anything or it's suggested. It should also be super easy to follow along here if you don't want to miss any. SO, in order to keep that schedule, I'll post prompts one AND two tomorrow and then we should be on a good day ahead schedule moving forward.

I'd really like to get a timelapse of me watercoloring at least one of them, I just haven't figured out how to do that yet. So no promises there. At the very least I might be able to share a timelapse of the "pencils" since a bulk of that part is done in Clip Studio. Depends on if there's any interest in that.

ORIGINALS

Now this important. I will NOT be auctioning these off on eBay this year. I simply don't have time this year (not to mention, eBay fees have gotten slightly out of hand). Instead I'm planning to drop them all in my online shop. Patrons* will know immediately when they drop a FULL DAY before I post anywhere else. So if you're hoping to own any of the 31 drawings that I'll be posting this coming month, you're in the right spot!

DISCLAIMER

These are going to be extra simple thise year. I know I always say that, but there is simply no way I can keep up with my graphic novel schedule if they aren't. So lots of dot eyes, zero to sparse backgrounds, incorrect proportions, etc. Also, because of the delirious rate at which I draw them, they can tend to dive into Looney Tunes territory. Sometimes quite literally! But hopefully even with all of that, it'll still be fun for all of us. Myself included!
