Moonlit Spiral - Linework Finished!

After four and a half years of concepts, story polishing, layouts, a few Spider-Man books and waaaay too much fan art than was probably responsible of me, I finally finished both the writing and linework of my next creator-owned graphic novel! All whopping 300 pages of it. We also have a roundabout date of publication, Summer of 2026.
I wasn't quite sure how to celebrate this feat other than to simply share a few spoiler-free pages with you this afternoon. These are from Chapter 3, just around when our trio has sort of set off on their journey out of Dahl. The first couple pages I've already colored. They were done as a sample of how I'd want to differentiate this book for my previous ones. I'm pretty happy with the look so far. That first line of dialog from Zyla is pretty fitting for today as well. :)
Now, unlike our trio up there, I'm not out of the woods yet. I only have until March next year to color the rest of the book. That's roughly sixty pages a month--a formidable challenge to say the least. Thankfully most of the book is already flatted for me and I color a lot faster than I draw (usually).
Anyhoo, I'll share a much longer sample of the story once I'm further ahead. For now, I'm going to enjoy a short breather before diving into those colors. Maybe even play some TotK for the first time in ages! Although more likely, I'll end up with some new fan art to share with you next week. Haha.

I honestly still haven't come up with an elevator pitch yet. It's an odd story. Ghibli meets Goonies is maybe the closet I've come up with so far. But very much it's own thing.
