Happy Friday, my friends! We made it.
Felt like ending a busy work week with something fun. Still kind of on a Wolverine kick but figured I should switch it up a bit. So here's Laura instead. Really liked her casual look from the latest DP film which is how I ended up with this outfit here.
Played around with my style juuuust slightly. Been watching a ton of One Piece with my youngest (there will almost definitely be some fan art of those pirates from me one of these days) and was thinking about the use of shapes and lines they use for all the characters on the show. I was also trying not to be too concerned about how "perfect" everything is. Plus a lot of Nine Inch Nails playing in the background while I was working this week maybe accounting for the somewhat aggressive nature of the whole thing.
Color wise, I originally had it in my head I wanted this to be a two-tone image using only pink and black (since Laura's sunglasses are pink). But then after playing around a bit, I really liked how the yellow background made everything pop. And then I thought the red would look better against that yellow. And THEN I decided it now needed some green tones. Needless to say, way too much thought than what was required went into the color stage of this!
I did upload a couple pink-shaded variants in the image carousal though if you wanted to see them. You can let me know which one you prefer. Or none at all. Haha.
At any rate, have a great weekend!
