Commissions

I get asked weekly--sometimes daily--about commissions so I thought it'd be a good idea to write up a post detailing my policy. That way I have a place I can easily point people to for all current info. I can also easily update stuff here if things change.

❤️ ONLINE COMMISSIONS ❤️

First off, this Patreon is likely the only place you'll ever be able to purchase a sketch commission from me. One of the benefits for all tiers Super Space Cat and up is that those patrons get first dibs at them and I've yet to have anyone turn down that opportunity.

As of THIS week (Nov 10, 2024), I just finished a large batch I offered Wild Space Cat patrons a year prior. Now my plan is to maybe start a lotto system where everyone Super Space Cat and up can enter for a chance to purchase a character sketch (see past examples above). I unfortunately don't have an exact time table of when that might be yet, but hopefully sometime late fall into winter. Unsure what pricing will be yet.

Every now and then I decide to watercolor a quick sketch for fun. Those are usually offered as a private auction for all Super Space Cat tiers and up. On a rare occasion, I might just put the sketch up in my online shop and those same tiers will be the first to know about them when I do.

💙 CONVENTION SKETCHES 💙

I unfortunately think I might be done offering convention sketches. Largest reason, I don't really table too often anymore. Hotels and flights have just gotten too expensive plus I'm often too busy drawing comics (my primary source of income). Also, if and when I do table, the last thing I want is to bury my head in a sketchbook. l already do that at home. I'd much rather chat and meet with people and drawing the entire day takes away from that.

As for pre-show commissions, it just seems unfair to offer those if I already have folks in my online queue waiting for something they paid for a while ago. Without fail, I also always seem to have some approaching deadline for something I'm struggling to finish right before travel. It's like a rule of the universe or something.
