It's tough being just human sometimes! Also feel free to think of this as either a precursor to "ANGEL" or "BOUNCE". Or both! Whichever you prefer.

Thought I'd share my initial quick sketch which had the classic "super S reveal" (only a hoodie instead of a button top because that's what my version of Kara typically wears):

But she's far too slow here! And since this IS my Kara, flinging off her clothes at rapid pace seems--well, still too slow for her--but at least more in line than that initial sketch.

I like to imagine her actually being pretty kind here and attempting to be slower than usual for Babs' sake. You'll see I actually ended up removing the "HOLD UP" because it didn't make sense that Babs would want Kara to hold off on solving whatever problem is off page. Plus it interrupted the visual narrative of the piece. Also my wife told me I didn't need it.

And that's how we ended up at the final watercolored piece.

Since I brought it up, here's a past SuperBatober (from 2020) that does feature the classic S reveal. This was for the prompt "HOPE". So I'm happy I didn't accidentally repeat myself.
