A Harley Ivy Christmas (2016)
Added 2022-12-14 18:03:40 +0000 UTCIn 2016, I decided to take a break from doing a Batgirl Supergirl holiday comic (although they still make a cameo) in favor of focusing on Harley and Ivy instead. I've always loved their dynamic even before their relationship was a legit thing. Their personalities are such at odds that I can't help but root for them. Plus, they're fun to draw! My favorite part of this comic though is how fast Ivy's pet plant grows during the month of December. That's what healthy feeding does for you I suppose.
What's also nice is that only five years later, Ivy has grown more receptive to Harley's gifts:
Even going so far as to reciprocate them. :)
Batgirl distracted by that Bat Bomb is also a slight continuation of the only other BG/SG comic I drew in 2016. This one right here:
It was written about a week or two after the presidential election that same year; officially ending my only eleven month retirement from drawing these comics. And for the record, I agree with Babs. Bats are super cute.

My wife agrees. Her old office was in the lowest level of a building, and at certain times of year, little bats would find their way inside and hang from the hallway ceilings. Everybody else would freak out, and my wife would be "awwwww!" And this is the woman who is terrified of mice. :-D Oh, and that satisfied smile on Harley's face and the "I've got mistletoooooooe." <3
