Thought this would be a nice one for a Saturday afternoon. :)

Speaking of books, It's been awhile since I've delved into what I've had sitting on my nightstand. My sister and niece pressured me into reading this Throne of Glass series. It's, well...very much something my sisters and nieces would recommend. Haha. I'm on the third book right now and I do gotta admit the pacing, mystery and humor isn't half bad and I am rooting for Celaena (the main protagonist). Besides that, pretty much your typical young adult novel with magic and pining love interests and the all important stag.
Before that I recently finished up:
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow - Obviously not my version of Supergirl, and that's totally okay. I love different takes and actually really enjoyed this one. Someone once mentioned it's True Grit in space and that pretty accurate. Really wordy, but I've come to expect that from King and it actually fit the story's narrator really well. Beautiful artwork too.
Batman: Year One - I've never read this! Haha. Confession time: I'm not a huge Frank Miller fan and think The Dark Knight Returns is kinda overrated. But I am a Mazzucchelli fan and, gosh, every panel and page of this story is perfect. Can see now why everybody raves about it.
Step By Bloody Step - Really pretty artwork and a fun concept but I found the story a bit dry and tough to follow at times.
Sandman Overture - I completely forgot I owned this book but never read it. It was a great chaser after finishing re-reading the original series and watching the Netflix one.
Friday - Love a great young adult mystery novel and this one was terrific. Only complaint is I wish I waited to read it until the entire story was finished.
Currently on the docket is Alex Ross's Fantastic Four novel, Full Circle, and Kate Beaton's new memoir, Ducks. Have only heard good things about both so can't wait to dive in.
What's everybody else reading these days? Feel free to leave some recommendations below!
