Rocketeer Watercolor Sketch
Added 2021-10-25 16:54:57 +0000 UTCIn my feeble attempt to share more than only SuperBatobers all month, here's a quick Rocketeer sketch! As much as I'm a fan of The Rocketeer, I always find him kinda difficult to draw. I think this is true of any character with a helmet or mask over their face. Gotta convey a lot more with body language.
Related: The soundtrack for the movie is one of my favorite scores ever (by the late, great James Horner). And I just found out Disney released a remastered extended version of it last month. Give it a listen! :D
Also related: You might have noticed the Wild Space Cat sketch tier disappeared earlier this month. Or you might not have noticed. Regardless, I didn't want to charge anyone extra with SuperBatober happening all month. Good news though, it'll be back this week...BUT with some changes (for better or worse). I'll have an update out later today or tomorrow. Please read it when it arrives.
That's all! One more week of SuperBatobers to go (I can do this...I can do this...).

2021-11-08 16:36:49 +0000 UTCThe Rocketeer is like, down low, one of my favourite films, and you've done a great job here. I never don't enjoy it when I watch it, and the soundtrack is awesome. I see what you mean about the mask thing too. I think because there's no ground to give a solid foot stance too it makes it trickier. Did you ever see Star Wars Rebels? They had an episode devoted to the B-Wing, which was was designed by Joe Johnston, who directed the Rocketeer.
