Batgirl (new outfit) Time-lapse
Added 2021-07-08 16:22:55 +0000 UTCHere's the time-lapse of that Batgirl I posted yesterday. This might be a fun one to watch as you can see me changing my mind over and over again as I worked out how to draw certain features as well as what I wanted to do with the background (at one point I though I'd have a bunch of bats fluttering behind her but quickly decided it was too busy so voilà, simple rain it was).
Something not in the above are my preliminary sketches. I might do these if I don't have a specific pose already in mind or simply to loosen up my drawing hand.
Drawing fan art specifically to highlight a specific outfit can be tough as I want to showcase as much of the cool costume bits as possible without sacrificing a powerful pose. Dunno if I choose the best sketch out of this bunch to work on, but happy enough with the end result.

2021-07-12 16:16:16 +0000 UTCHah! Yeah, I was lazily trying to fill-in a line color using the fill tool but kept missing the line and filling the entire canvas instead. 😅

2021-07-12 15:51:04 +0000 UTCThere’s a part towards the end when you might be adjusting levels or something that made the whole image flash and with some rain already added in it looked like she was in the middle of a lightening storm! Very cool process—-thanks for sharing.
