WIP: New Ideas

Me: I won't do any complicated long videos for a while.
Me one week later: So I've got this 1+ minute long layout of emotional ARR flashbacks---

Hello! Happy thursday. :D
These past few days I've been thinking about what video to do next. I've got a few ideas, but I still need to really plan them out to see which ones are going to work. Some of them are getting pretty long and complicated...but I'm also getting very excited with the idea of making them. Before truly commiting, I'm considering making a layout for 2 of them, and have a solid starting point to decide. Who knows, eventually I could finish all of them.
The one I started with was inspired on a comment I got on youtube asking to see Lizard and G'raha's first meeting in ARR. I feel so happy there's people out there interested in knowing more about my character! :')

Although I have a few ideas and headcanons I've never posted anywhere, it's hard to convey all of those ideas in a video, but I'm trying to see if I can show the general idea of their relationship during that time. And instead of just doing an ARR video, I decided to try to make myself cry and have it happen during a very important scene in ShB...
 ...which by the way I already have another shoujo anime reference of how I want to animate it.

So far I've got 15 shots, then it would be a mix of 3D environment (Mor Dhona) and screenshots as background. I'd also have to fix G'raha's and Lizard's ARR rig. Lizard is basically done except for a few shader adjustments, but I might have to remake G'raha. The outfit isn't completely right, which was a choice I made during the Awakening G'raha video so they could hug (those huge arm things and the chest piece would make that very difficult!)

Maybe I'd still keep him without the arm things though, just to make my life easier.

The other idea I've been planning, is a much shorter one of the Exarch...a cute reaction of him alone in the tower after getting the WoL to the First. Cute, yet serious by the end. This one I'd probably finish faster. I imagine something with 6-7 shots? I've not tried to rig the Exarch yet...I don't know how much trouble that could be.

I've been also thinking about a silly one about how Lizard always walks around with a Wind-up G'raha Tia and Mystel minions, to G'raha's embarassment...that would be the most light-hearted one, and the only one that actual has some comedy to it. This one still need more planning than the others though, because although I know exactly what I want to show, the cameras and cuts aren't all that clear in my head, so it's the one less likely to happen so far. I'd also have to figure out how to make a a custom minion...

And something I want to do, but just decided to make it after the graphical update in hopes of making my videos look better with higher res textures (and maybe updated rigs?! They added more bones to the face!! That would open up so many possibilities!!!) is a remake of my first video, the First Kiss scene, with some cute additional scenes at the end...maybe as a celebration of one year making G'raha videos. I think today I'd be able to make it look much better than before, and add a few more details I didn't know how to at the time.

But there's always the chance Dawntrail gives me many more ideas and this remake gets postponed. And hopefully these ideas include G'raha being there with us and not Lizard frustrated that he isn't. PLEASE YOSHIP

Speaking of video ideas, did you know there's one I actually made a layout in the past and abandoned it?

It was an idea I had suddenly, and since I had the day off, I spent like 6 hours straight planning it out. But then, when I finished it and asked for opinions, everyone I asked thought it was SUPER HEAVY AND DEPRESSING...and yeah, they were right. I don't want to make G'raha suffer more than he already did, I want him to be happy and laughing! :(

I do imagine him still being traumatized about being the Exarch, and sometimes having nightmares of his arm crystalizing again. But I don't need to make a video of that!!!!!
After discarding the idea, I made the Dance Partner video, which was definitely a much better choice.

Which idea would you like to see the most? :)
