Upcoming release plans and new subreddit for VN

I wanted to share a couple of updates on Virtually Naked.

You might have noticed that things have been quiet lately. The recent pace of work on VN has been slower than I’d like because I’ve been tied down with some other commitments. But the good news is that’s changing and going forward I’ll have a lot more time to work on Virtually Naked. So I’ll be able to start making releases again!

That brings me to my plans for the next release. My focus for version 0.10 is an improved "gaze" system that simulates how a real person would look around. Specially, I'm planning the following improvements:

• More natural gaze targeting: Instead of always staring at a fixed spot halfway between your eyes, the "actor" will now glance around your whole face and at other objects in the scene. (Something along the lines of this figure from Wikipedia)
• Looking with the whole head, neck and upper chest, instead of just the eyes.
• Eyelid movements and blinking that are coordinated with the gaze.

Overall the new gaze system should feel much more natural and will be an important step towards making VN's "actors" not just look like but behave like real people.

New Subreddit for Virtually Naked Users

Up until now, the only forum for VN users has been the “Community” section here on Patreon. But that section is only accessible to active pledgers and since I’ve stopped soliciting pledges I want something to have something that was open to everyone. So I set up a new community for Virtually Naked on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/virtuallynaked/

I’ll also be posting there when I have something to share between releases that’s interesting but not quite important enough for an email blast to all my subscribers.
